IMPSA Wind Recife – WPE

IMPSA Wind supplies wind turbines through IMPSA WPE in Brazil. This manufacturing center is located on the industrial port of Suape, in the state of Pernambuco, Brazil. The facility has 17,000 m2 covered for production and offices.
It has an annual production of 300 wind turbines of 1.5 MW (450 MW in total), that is enough capacity to supply power for 3,000,000 people. This facility is design for manufacturing wind turbines of up to 3 MW.
Nowadays, it is the most modern manufacturing plant of its type in the world, and supplies both the local and international markets. Besides, this production center will have the capability to manufacture turbines and generators for large hydropower developments.

IMPSA Wind Plant I

Located in the department of Godoy Cruz (Mendoza, Argentina). The plant, working at full capacity, can manufacture 75 wind generators per year.

• Total manufacturing area: 21,300 m2.
• Manufacturing capacity: 75 wind turbines per year.

IMPSA Wind Plant II

Plant II is also located in Mendoza, this plant holds the technology center, where research, development and design of wind generators is carried out; also, heavy structures for wind turbines are manufactured in this facility.

Technology Development

With the purpose of increasing technology development capacity and of providing immediate response to market needs, IMPSA Wind created an Engineering Department, one of the few in the world capable of developing complete wind-powered generators.

The Engineering Management of IMPSA Wind operates from its two researches and development centers. One of them is located in Mendoza, Argentina, and the other one, which was created recently, operates in SUAPE facilities at Pernambuco, Brazil

These two centers research and develop technologies aimed at permitting more effective and competitive wind energy generation, in order to keep on offering tools to overcome the most important challenge of society: that of growing in a sustainable way and improving its quality life without jeopardizing future generations.

IMPSA Wind Malaysia

This manufacturing center was conceived for the production of heavy structures and up to 50 wind generators of 2.1 MW per year.
