IMPSA Hydro
IMPSA Hydro provides integrated solutions for turning water power into electricity through the following products:

  • Construction of projects under EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) conditions.
  • Electromechanical equipment under turn-key conditions.
  • Core equipment, including hydraulic turbines, generators, automation and hydromechanical equipment.
  • Modernization and rehabilitation.
  • Operation and Maintenance (O&M).

This business unit owns and continuously improves the technology required to develop, design, produce, construct, transport, erect and start-up hydroelectric projects.

IMPSA Wind
IMPSA Wind is the business unit dedicated to the design, production and commercialization of large wind generation equipment. It also provides wind farms under EPC conditions. It is the only company in Latin America which applies its own technology to produce these types of units.
IMPSA Wind emerged due to the synergy of the different business units prior to product creation; aplying the main characteristics of each one:

  • The original knowledge on fluid mechanics and salient pole synchronous generators.
  • The expertise in handling high structures and frequency conversion.
  • The knowledge on automation.

By combining the “Know How” of the different specialties, IMPSA creates wind technology. IMPSA Wind has its own Research and Development team and an innovative design (UNIPOWER®) for high-capacity wind generators.

IMPSA Energy
IMPSA Energy is the business unit dedicated to the development of projects for electric power generation from renewable resources. Through it, IMPSA performs the planning, design, financial engineering, construction, operation and maintenance of hydroelectric developments and wind farms.
Some of the projects carried out by this business unit are CBK in the Philippines and the Potrerillos Complex and Urugua-I in Argentina. IMPSA Energy has developed projects for more than US$ 1,200 million in investments. This has enabled the company to hold a leading position as a private developer of hydroelectric projects.
Currently this business unit is building five wind farms in Brazil which shall reach an approximate operating capacity of 320 MW with an investment of more than US$ 1 billion, and is developing several hydroelectric projects various countries.
