IMPSA took a great step forward to materialize the development of its 10 wind farms at the State of Santa Catarina when it received the prequalification for funding.
The Banco de Desenvolvimiento Industrial de Brasil, “BNDES”, approved the compliance of consultation letters for the purpose of officially issuing the funding for wind power farms under “Project Finance” conditions.
The wind project located in the south of Brazil counts with an installed capacity of 217 MW, this generation capacity adds to the 100 MW that the company has in the State of Ceará, towards the Northeast of Brazil, thus keeping its leadership in the region.
The 10 wind farms which make up Santa Catarina are framed within the Programa de Inversiones en Fuentes Alternativas (PROINFA) and account for the large investments made in Brazil regarding the generation of renewable energies.
