CVG EDELCA signed a contract with IMPSA on January 2008 for the turnkey supply of the electromechanical equipment for the Manuel Piar Hydro Power Plant (Tocoma). The plant will be equipped with 10 KAPLAN generating units of 223 MW. These units are the largest Kaplan units in the world.

The present state of the project is, engineering is under development; manufacturing of components has already started both in Argentina and Venezuela; provision of raw materials has been finished; and delivery of equipment to the site has started.
